News!
As a parent I am happy to announce the appointment of my son, Matthew Dalton DePalm, to O.C.C.U.R. (Oakland Citizens Committee for Urban Renewal), as the New Center Director for the Eastmont Technology Center.
Matthew is a recent Graduate from Chico State University with a B.A. in Communication Design, Option in Internet Communication.
His education started in the City of Oakland at Saint Vincent's Day Home pre-school program, Saint Jarleth's Catholic school, Montera Middle and Antioch High School, in Antioch , CA.
Matthew is a childhood brain Tumor survivor, Dr. John G. Zovickian and Children's Hospital, Oakland, have to be credited with his well being today, as well as Sister Adrienne Andreani of S.V.D.H.
Both his Mother, Audrey DePalm-McKee, and Father, Kerry McKee, were Family Advocates for the City of Oakland Health and Human Services Head Start Program.
His Uncle, Frederick DePalm served as the C.I.O. at the Port of Oakland.
Matthew brings to the City a young man well connected in the current educational, social service, and business network of the Greater Bay Area. He is a fine young man with much to contribute to the community that aided in his growth and success.
It is nice to see that the city that helped cultivate, nurture and provide for this young man will be getting so much back.
Thank you City of Oakland.
Thank you Children's Hospital and Saint Vincents' Day Home.
Thank you A.H.S. "Go Panther's"
Matthew is paying it forward.
I am moved beyond words.
Warmest Regards,
Audrey DePalm-McKee
