THE ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION

Were signed by E. G. Waite, Secretary of State and by William H. Stevens, Deputy, these articles are the official witness of the Sate of California to the creation of new legal person, The Sisters of the Holy Family. The Incorporation of the Community, rightfully seen as an important step in the establishment of the Sisters of the Holy Family as a group legally recognized to exist, occurred on December 9, 1893. From that time onward, the congregations is acknowledged by the Sate of California as having the rights granteed to organized groups within the civic community, such a buying, holding, or selling property, organizing in local places in the State and so on.It was a matter of celebration of the early community and is still of major importance today in a country organized around laws, rights, responsibilities and the rule of order.
